Assemblymember Kalra will be hosting the annual Assembly District 27 Beautify Our Local School event where he chooses an elementary school in his district to help with beautification projects that benefit the students. This year, he will be serving Lowell Elementary School. On Saturday, June 1st, 2019 his office will be joined by community members and students to help bring life and color to our downtown school. Our plan is to repaint the playground blacktop and change Lowell’s colorless play yard to a bright and inviting space for kids to play and learn. In addition to adding color to the asphalt, we will be inviting a local artist to paint a mural on campus to inspire the children.
