California "30 by 30" Bill Author Ash Kalra Responds to President Joe Biden's Nationwide Conservation Goal

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Ash Kalra (D-San Jose), author of last year’s Assembly Bill 3030 (AB 3030), released a statement today in response to President Joe Biden’s announcement to conserve 30 percent of U.S. land and 30 percent of its ocean waters by 2030, a plan known as “30 by 30” that also guided California’s AB 3030 and subsequent statewide executive order by Governor Gavin Newsom:

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Ash Kalra (D-San Jose), Chair of the Assembly Committee on Labor and Employment, released the following statement today in response to the Court of Appeals’ decision to uphold a lower court’s ruling which found that the continued misclassification of Uber and Lyft drivers would cause them irreparable harm and directed the companies to immediately classify them as emp
