Assemblymember Ash Kalra Secures Key State Investments for San José

SACRAMENTO – Last week, the State Legislature approved budget bills that included requests championed by Assemblymember Ash Kalra (D-San José). District budget requests can be found in AB 178 (Ting), signed by Governor Newsom June 30th, and outlined below:

 

Assemblymember Kalra Releases Statement on AB 1651

The Workplace Technology Accountability Act is a robust and comprehensive policy that would create first-of-its-kind regulations around use of technology in the workplace.

SACRAMENTO – Today, Assemblymember Ash Kalra (D-San Jose) responds to withdrawal of AB 1651 from consideration in the Assembly Privacy & Consumer Protection Committee.

 

Assemblymember Kalra’s AB 2926, FAIR Act, Clears First Committee

The FAIR Act removes certain labor law exemptions for professional performers and music artists. A similar bill in 2021 was not taken up for a vote in the Assembly Labor and Employment Committee.
