Remembering the Unfairness and Shame of Japanese Internment

Friday, February 16, 2018

(Sacramento) - Assemblymember Kansen Chu (D-San Jose) and the State Assembly hold a special Japanese internment Day of Remembrance each year to remind everyone what happens when fear takes over. In December 1941 President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed into law Executive Order 9066, which effectively suspended the civil liberties of Americans of Japanese descent. Be part of the fight against fear, watch and share this Day of Remembrance video.
