AB 199: Public works: private residential projects. This bill ensures construction workers receive fair wages owed to them under the law.

AB 355: Water pollution: enforcement. This bill streamlines enforcement on water pollution while helping small communities improve water quality.

AB 673: Public transit operators: bus procurement: safety considerations. This bill addresses safety issues for bus drivers and others by requiring that prior to placing new vehicles into revenue operations, transit systems must take into consideration recommendations of, and best practices standards developed by, transit labor representatives for the purpose of protecting bus operators.

AB 713: Continuing care retirement facilities: transfers of residents. This bill requires the Department of Social Services, when reviewing residents disputed transfer at a community care resident facility, to consider the appropriateness and necessity of the transfer.

AB 1158: Carpet recycling. This bill was crafted to protect consumers and the environment by requiring manufacturers to implement a stewardship program that sets a carpet recycling goal of 24 percent by 2020. The Carpet Stewardship Program is the first of its kind in the world.

AB 1357: Home inspectors: roofing contractors: roof inspections. This bill allows a licensed roofing contractor, who is employed by a company that also provides home inspections, to perform roof repairs identified in his or her roof inspection.
